Landslide is the hardest-hitting Core Skill that Druids have in their arsenal. Players who want to channel their inner earthbender in Diablo 4 will have a ton with this ability and thankfully, it's not bad at all when it comes to deleting the denizes of Hell.

The following is a Landslide build optimized for Diablo 4's early Nightmare difficulty. It can comfortably clear low-tier Nightmare Dungeons and all open-world content. With the right gear, players can take this build well into the high level 80s and still be successful. Here's how to set it up.

Primal Landslide builds Terramote stacks whenever the Druid stuns or immobilizes enemies. This makes the next cast of Landslide a guaranteed critical strike, making it insanely powerful for players who do not yet have enough crit stats on their gear.

Storm Strike, Trample, and Petrify can all generate Terramotes for Landslide while also bringing their own unique effects and synergies. Trample and Earthen Bulwark, for example, generates Fortify, which increases the Druid's survivability and damage once the right Aspects and passives are equipped. Meanwhile, Storm Strike and Hurricane can make enemies Vulnerable while also triggering their own set of Crowd-Control effects.

Petrify can be replaced with Poison Creeper if players are more concerned about Terramote stacking. Otherwise, Petrify should only be used when engaging elite packs, bosses, or mass groups of enemies.

This setup takes advantage of both Storm and Earth skill passives since players will be alternating between attacks regularly. Natural Disaster and Resonance work in tandem to magnify the damage players deal as long as they hit enemies with Storm Strike before pounding them with Landslide.

The build also makes use of a number of skills that grant Fortify, which is why points are invested into Stone Guard and Crushing Earth. As long as players can keep their Fortify HP up, they'll gain significant bonuses to their defense and DPS output.

As for the Key Passive, players can choose between Ursine Strength, Earthen Might, and Nature's Fury. The latter two are very strong but inconsistent, while Ursine Strength is much more reliable as long as players can keep their health above 80%. Keep in mind that players do not need to invest points in other Storm or Earth skills for Nature's Fury to trigger.

The Spirit Boon setup above will help top off the Druid's Spirit while drastically increasing their DPS output via bonus Critical Strike Damage, attack speed, and guaranteed Overpower procs on Earth skills.

The Aspects needed for this build are rather straightforward. Retaliation, Aftershock, and Edgemaster all feed Landslide's damage while Trampled Earth turns Trample into a powerful AOE skill. Mending Stone increases Earthen Bulwark's Barrier effectiveness while Ghostwalker grants huge bursts of movement speed after using either Earthen Bulwark or Trample.

Aspect of the Umbral won't solve this build's resource problems, but it will dampen its effects by generating some extra Spirit whenever Hurricane damages targets or when Storm Strike or Landslide cripples an enemy. Cast Petrify in the middle of a large group to instantly recover all Spirit.

Two-Handed Weapons are the preferred choices here since they will maximize Landslide's damage. However, players who want better Spirit generation can opt for 1H weapons. Make sure to keep Aspect of Aftershock on the main-hand weapon, and imprint either the Rapid or Accelerating Aspect on the off-hand item.

Paragon Boards

Insert the Exploit Glyph onto the starting board for guaranteed Vulnerable procs on-hit while taking the Prime and Impel nodes. This allows the build to use Savage Hurricane without losing any potential DPS.

Next, attach the Earthen Devastation board and path toward the Legendary Node while taking all bonuses related to Earth skills and Damage vs. Crowd-Controlled. The Glyph Socket here won't be able to accommodate any worthwhile Glyphs that are below level 15—good options for this board include Guzzler and Spirit.

For the third board, take Constricting Tendrils for its bonuses against Crowd-Controlled enemies. The socket here is close to a lot of Intelligence and Dexterity, making it a good candidate for Glyphs like Guzzler, Undaunted, Exploit, and Territorial.

Spend any remaining points on effects that increase survivability, Earth Skill damage, Core Skill damage, and Damage vs. Crowd-Controlled.

Diablo 4 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
