There is a variety of rare loot that players have a chance to obtain in Diablo 4, but none are quite as sought after as uniques, which offer much more powerful affixes than rare or even legendary gear and can reshape a class' play style with effects that can't be found on any other items. As such, many players will want to acquire these ultra rare items specific to their class; however, some are better than others. The Necromancer in Diablo 4 has a particularly potent arsenal of unique gear available to them that elevates their class skills to their peak potential and players will want to add these valuable items to their build.

Unique weapons and armor in Diablo 4 are extremely hard to come by for a variety of reasons, as is fitting for the game's strongest gear. To start with, uniques only have a chance to drop once players hit World Tier 3, meaning they won't find any in their playthrough of the game's main campaign. Even after reaching World Tier 3, Diablo 4 players could spend hours farming for uniques to no avail since these items are the rarest drops Diablo 4 has to offer, but the payoff is well worth the hassle as some of these uniques have game-changing properties.

Blood Artisan's Cuirass – This piece of chest armor is the most versatile of all the uniques for Diablo 4's Necromancer thanks to the boosts it gives to both offense and defense. The unique affix that makes the Blood Artisan's Cuirass so strong allows players to summon a free Bone Spirit every time they pick up between 10-5 Blood Orbs, which is a great value for a powerful skill that usually consumes all of their Essence. In addition to granting a free use of one of the Necromancer's most powerful skills, this item also increases their overall armor as well as damage output and healing each time they pick up a Blood Orb.

Black River – The Black River scythe is the ideal weapon to use with the Necromancer's Corpse Explosion skill as it makes one of the class' most popular skills even more deadly. The unique affix on the Black River allows Corpse Explosion to consume four additional corpses in the area to increase the power and range of the skill. It also grants additional ranks to the skill to further buff its power and features other helpful affixes that increase damage to healthy enemies, grant life on kill, and add ranks to the Fueled by Death skill.

Howl from Below – The Howl from Below gloves offer similar benefits to Corpse Explosion like those of the Black River, but to a lesser degree. Its unique affix changes the way Corpse Explosion functions, summoning a Volatile Skeleton that will run at an enemy and explode dealing 30-40% more damage than the base skill. It also includes a number of affixes geared towards Diablo 4's Lucky Hit mechanic, as well as an increase in attack speed for Corpse skills.

Deathless Visage – For players utilizing the Necromancer's Bone skills, the Deathless Visage is the best helm for the build. Not only does it increase critical strike damage for Bone skills, it also gives Bone Spear a unique new effect that allows the spear to leave echoes as it travels that explode after a short period. This affix already makes on the best skills in the game even better, but it also gives a buff to the player's armor, physical damage, and maximum Essence as well.

Greaves of the Empty Tomb – The Greaves of the Empty Tomb fit best on a Necromancer build that focuses on Darkness skills as its unique affix augments the Sever skill so that the specter the skill creates leave desecrated ground beneath them as they travel, damaging enemies caught in it. In addition to this effect, the Greaves of the Empty Tomb also add the Lucky Hit effect of dealing Shadow damage over time and reducing damage taken from enemies that are receiving Shadow damage over time. These affixes synergize well with the final ones on this item that boost the player's Diablo 4 stats like Intelligence and reduce the Essence cost of their skills.

The Necromancer class in Diablo 4

Bloodless Scream – While not necessarily a bad weapon, the two-handed scythe Bloodless Scream is less desirable than other uniques due to its niche effects. Like the Greaves of the Empty Tomb, it also buffs Darkness skills by adding the Chill status to all skills of this type, which can greatly help with crowd control. Its other affixes help support this ability by granting increased damage to Chilled and Frozen enemies, increasing Darkness skill damage, and increasing Cold resistance making this a useful weapon for a very specific type of Diablo 4 Necromancer build.

Deathspeaker's Pendant – The Deathspeaker's Pendant provides some solid benefits to some of the Necromancer's weaker areas like minions and Blood skills. The unique affix it comes with allows the Blood Surge skill to cast a mini nova around minions to extend the range of the skill and deal damage per target drained by the initial cast. Additionally, it increases the damage done by minions and Blood skills, improves healing, and adds ranks to Coalesced Blood, but it's unfortunate that these buffs don't do enough to improve the usefulness of Diablo 4's weak minions.

Ring of Mendeln – The Ring of Mendeln is the weakest of the Necromancer's unique gear because it really only provides a buff for minions, who will likely be sacrificed by the time players reach the endgame of Diablo 4 where this item becomes obtainable. Its unique affixes provide a Lucky Hit chance to boost the attack of minions by adding explosions that deal physical damage as long as there are at least seven minions summoned by the player. The other affixes only provide further benefits to minion health and attack speed, which become obsolete once the player decides to sacrifice their skeletal companions.

Diablo 4 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
