Diablo 4 is the most recent installment of the beloved Diablo franchise, following the iconic Diablo 3 and continuing the ever-evolving story about Hell and all its denizens. The engaging plot isn't the only thing carried forward from Diablo 3 into Diablo 4, however. Armor works much like as it did in the previous game, with players randomly finding pieces when looting or slaying enemies. Those pieces will vary in rarity, ultimately determining how good it is at doing its job. Most items themselves don't have set stats.
This means that armor sets come down to personal aesthetic preferences. Players can transmogrify sets, making their appearance available at any time. These are the best armor sets for the Necromancer to transmogrify and wear, for purely aesthetic purposes.
10 Sturdy
This armor set lands last place on the list because it just isn't as visually striking as some of the other Necromancer armor sets. It's very basic and, frankly, pretty boring. The baggy pants and thick gloves do nothing to show off the Necromancer's body, which is covered in some pretty cool tattoos that players may want to show off.
The helmet is another reason why this armor set just isn't very appealing. The large crest just doesn't fit the Necromancer aesthetic at all, making this armor set the last aesthetic players might gravitate towards.
9 Adventurer
While this armor set doesn't exactly scream Necromancer, it does give characters that iconic adventurer look that many players may want to go for. It's very chunky and would probably be a lot for the frail frame of the Necromancer, but it looks pretty intimidating, so it gets some points there.

The helmet for this armor set is also pretty unique, which makes it stand out from the other Necromancer armor sets, but it lands so low on the list for the whole set not being quite unique enough.
8 Fur-Lined
Despite only have a few fur-lined elements in the armor set, these pieces come together in an aesthetically pleasing way. For players that don't mind their character's face being covered, this armor set comes with a pretty sick helmet that definitely embodies the Necromancer aesthetic.
It even comes with some pretty cool horns, that will make characters look extra badass as they raise their undead hordes and sic them on their enemies. This armor set also has a few skulls dotted around to add to the Necromancer vibe.
7 Strider
While this armor set is definitely on the basic side, it's a nice, casual look for the Necromancers looking for something that still says "Necromancer" without being too over the top. The one greatest downfall with this armor set, however, is the helmet.
The helmet is super chunky compared to the rest of the armor, which seems to fit quite nicely on the character's frame. The colors are also a little uninspired, but once the set has been transmogrified, players will be able to customize the color scheme to their liking.
6 Sand-Worn
For players looking for a set that just screams Necromancer, look no further. With a helmet that makes characters look like the skeletons they raise, and even a couple skulls hanging off the belt as an accessory, this armor set is perfect for the player looking to make their character as intimidating as possible.
The original colors on this set are decent enough, but players that have a specific aesthetic will be able to transmogrify this set and make the color scheme their own.
5 Weathered
This armor set is another great choice for players looking to fully embody the Necromancer aesthetic. With yet another super intimidating helmet, and a skull on the belt, this armor set is perfect for the Necromancer that wants the world to know what they're about.

The default color scheme also works pretty well with most Necromancer aesthetics, though this is purely up to the player and their preferences. The armor has a few fur-lined pieces which might make this a great set to don when going to the colder places, for players that like that element of realism.
4 Highland
The only reason this armor set ranks as high as it does on the list is because of that iconic helmet. The animal skull helmet with glowing eyes is truly unique, especially when compared to the other armor sets and helmets available to the Necromancer.
Players that want to go for an intimidating look truly have a lot of options in Diablo 4, but this helmet really takes the cake for being one of the more creative design choices.
3 Covens
For Necromancers that simply can't get enough of the skulls, this may be the armor set for them. With a well-fitted helmet designed to look like a skull, a bag of skulls hanging from the belt and a skull on the shoulder-pad, this armor set is perfect for the Necromancer who has no shame in the work they do.

The dark nature of this outfit is perfect for a dark, Necromantic aesthetic, although the color scheme can be modified to the player's liking once the set has been transmogrified.
2 Boneweaver
With "bone" in the name, players should expect nothing less than for this armor set to go above and beyond to cater to the Necromancer aesthetic. With a helmet that makes characters look like skeletons wearing the most gorgeous crown, players will feel like royalty as they run around slaying the hordes.
The royal blue and gold help contribute to that fact. While the color scheme may not match the edgy Necromancer perfectly, it can always be modified once the set has been transmogrified.
1 Etched
While this may seem like a rather basic choice for the number one spot, it's only here for the fact that it's the only Necromancer armor set that doesn't completely cover the face or hair of the character. Players are invited to create their own characters, with some people probably going to great lengths to make the perfect character.
Having to cover all that would be a great shame, but some of the available Necromancer sets do make up for that in how visually stunning they are. The simple nature of this armor set makes it a great candidate for players to focus on color instead. Plus, the vials of blood as an accessory is unique to this armor set and keeps the Necromancer feel without being too overt.
