Diablo 4's Codex of Power gives players the freedom to imprint the Legendary Aspects that they need for their builds. Admittedly, some of the effects found in the codex are much more valuable than others, and the Aspect of Disobedience is one of them.

This defensive Aspect grants a percentage bonus to overall defenses just by dealing damage. It's great for all stages in the game, and it's a staple for many endgame Diablo 4 builds. It can drop randomly from any valid loot source, but players who want this effect in their Codex of Power will have to clear the Halls of the Damned dungeon first.

The Halls of the Damned is a dungeon found in the Scouring Sands region of Kehjistan. It is closest to the Tarsarak Waypoint, which is directly west of the dungeon's entrance.

Diablo 4: Halls of the Damned Dungeon Guide

There's nothing too special about the Halls of the Damned. It's as standard as dungeons go—destroy statues, activate levers, kill the final boss, and that's about it. Any player with a decent build will be able to clear this dungeon without breaking a sweat, even on Torment difficulty.

As mentioned above, the most important part of this dungeon is the Aspect of Disobedience. This legendary power alone is enough to boost a player's survivability in high-level content significantly. Every time a player inflicts damage with this Aspect equipped, they'll gain a percentage bonus to their total Armor value. This effect can stack up to a maximum of 50%.

Armor in Diablo 4 primarily increases the player's resistance against Physical damage. Half of this value also gets carried over to all elemental resistances, which means players will also get protection against fire, lightning, cold, shadow, and poison. Keep in mind that there's a difference between Armor and Damage Reduction. The former involves a more complicated formula, while the latter simply reduces any damage taken by the amount specified.

The Aspect of Might, for example, may provide a stronger survivability buff since it gives players 20% Damage Reduction for a short duration after hitting things with a Basic Skill. The Armor bonus provided by Aspect of Disobedience will not provide as much protection since Damage Reduction affects all damage types.

Still, it'll be worth using Aspect of Disobedience on many builds, especially those that don't use Basic Skills. As long as players can supplement their gear with additional Life and elemental resistances, then they should be able to survive most attacks in the game.

Diablo 4 is available now on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5.
