Kehjistan is the final region players get to visit in Diablo 4, and its magnificent oases are now filled to the brim with hellspawn, cultists, and other ugly undesirables. There's a lot more to this region now compared to the previous game, but players can expect more of the same demon-slaying action as they explore the expanded map.

Beyond the sandy dunes and rocky crags are three different Strongholds, each offering simple combat challenges that can get very hectic, very quickly. Conquering these arenas are required if players want to complete their exploration of this area, so to save people's time, here are the locations of all three Kehjistan Strongholds in Diablo 4.

Kehjistan Stronghold Locations in Diablo 4

Alcarnus

Some players may recognize this as one of the main story locations from Diablo 3's second act. Alcarnus returns in the sequel as a Stronghold directly east of Caldeum's Imperial Library Waypoint and northwest of Jahir. It's still as destroyed and infested as before, but a completely new threat is hovering over its ruined streets.

A desperate Necromancer has taken over the old witch's lair at the heart of the village, aiming to "solve death" by basically making clones of herself. Destroy all the Necrotic Growths in Alcarnus and put the mad researcher down before things get out of hand. Unfortunately, nothing really changes after Alcarnus is liberated. No Waypoints, dungeons, or any other goodies.

Altar of Ruin

North of the Imperial Library Waypoint and past the Scorching Dunes is an ominous temple with clear signs of demonic activity. Cultists and goat men are conducting some sort of ritual and in the world of Diablo 4, this can only lead to even more demons spewing into the world.

Dive into the Altar of Ruin and kill the cultists holding Keystones that lead to the Ritual Chamber. Take out the summoner and all his demonic minions to liberate the Stronghold. Doing so will unlock a new Waypoint just like some other Strongholds in the game. Also, don't forget to grab the Altar of Lilith to the right of the Waypoint before moving on.

Omath's Redoubt

This Stronghold takes players to Kehjistan's temperate southern region. From the Waypoint at Gea Kul by the coastline, head east to find Omath's Redoubt, an old fort in Hakan's Oasis that has since been overrun by ghosts and the living dead.

Sift through the rubble and find the slain defenders to trigger a showdown against the spirit of their deceased leader. Defeat her to gain access to the Crumbling Hekma, a dungeon that contains the Aspect of Splintering Energy for the Sorcerer class.

Diablo 4 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
