The final two areas of Diablo 4 are Kehjistan and Hawezar, which comprise much of the game's final three acts, and don't scale to players' levels until around levels 30 and 40 respectively. Kehjistan is the southwesternmost explorable area of Diablo 4, and contains a few locations that call back to Diablo 3, including the Hidden Camp, Caldeum, and Alcarnus (Maghda's Lair).

Kehjistan is a great desert expanse with a lush coastline – well, a once-lush coastline, now plagued by Cultists and servants of the Burning Hells. With Gea Kul as its main hub, the Kehjistan map can be difficult to explore quickly until all waypoints are discovered, as the city is found in its far, far southwest. It's a bit of a tedious one, but players who know the locations of everything for full Kehjistan map completion can cut the grind down significantly.

Updated July 20, 2023 by Erik Petrovich: There are a few things players must finish in order to earn full completion of each Diablo 4 map, Kehjistan included. After collecting all Waypoints and Altars of Lilith, clearing all the fog of war, taking on every dungeon, and clearing every Stronghold, there's just one more thing left for players to knock out: side quests. Kehjistan quests number 44 in total, which can seem daunting until one realizes that many of these tie together in a quest chain, are dependent on each other, or are only unlocked at certain progression points. With Season 1 of Diablo 4 here, players will find themselves getting all too familiar with the Kehjistan complete map, and may want to begin planning their most optimal Side Quest routes for earning Renown.

All Altars of Lilith in Kehjistan

Altars of Lilith give a small bonus to a variety of players' stats at the cost of their time: it's a tedious venture to get all 160 Altars of Lilith in Diablo 4, but the end result – tons of extra stat points, extra Obol capacity, and Paragon Points – can make characters much more powerful, especially because these bonuses are shared across an account. A new Level 1 character will get all of that extra power, making it worth collecting them all before starting an alt.

There are a total of 31 Altars of Lilith in Kehjistan, with no particularly dense clumps to hit up first. There aren't many Altars in the center of the map, though, so starting from the northern entrance from the Dry Steppes, players can head counter-clockwise towards Gea Kul, then east, then north across the Scouring Sands to reach the remaining, particularly detached Altars.

Kehjistan Map Dungeon Locations

There is a ton of side content in Diablo 4, but arguably the content that players will see the most are side dungeons. These dungeons are 10 to 15-minute-long adventures that can be reset and completed over and over again, but beating one for the first time rewards a unique Aspect for the player's codex. Unlike Aspects extracted from Legendaries, these Aspects are reusable (though typically weaker).

There are a total of 23 side dungeons in the complete Kehjistan map, but like most other zones, a few of these are locked behind completion of a Stronghold. These dungeons are the Sepulcher of the Forsworn, in the northern Altar of Ruin, and Crumbling Hekma, in the southern Omath's Redoubt Stronghold.

All Strongholds In Kehjistan

Diablo 4 Complete Kehjistan Map All Strongholds Locations

All five of the zones in the game are home to three Strongholds, non-repeatable world events that see players take on hordes of foes to clear out the presence of evil in an area. One of the Kehjistan map Strongholds is actually a callback to Diablo 3: Alcarnus, Lair of the Witch, and home to the Prime Evil Belial's servant Maghda (who killed Deckard Cain).

Alcarnus is found in the central north of Kehjistan. The two other Strongholds in Kehjistan are Omath's Redoubt in the far south, and the Altar of Ruin, in the north bordering the Dry Steppes' Fields of Hatred. Completing a Stronghold rewards a huge chunk of Renown, a total of 300 for completing all three in Kehjistan, as well as other previously-inaccessible features like dungeons, waypoints, and side quests.

Where To Find Every Waypoint In Kehjistan

Waypoints are a convenient way for players to get around Estuar quickly, which is especially important given the game's proclivity for limited-time events. It's important to unlock Waypoints not just for their contribution to Renown, but also for the ability to get to World Boss arenas, Legion events, and other events in Kehjistan quickly.

Though the "first three" zones of Diablo 4 (the Fractured Peaks, Scosglen, and the Dry Steppes) all offer eight total Waypoints to discover, Kehjistan and Hawezar only offer six. Two of these are locked behind Strongholds – the Altar of Ruin and Omath's Redoubt both must be completed to fully unlock all Waypoints in Kehjistan.

Kehjistan Cellar Locations

Cellars are spread throughout Estuar and offer a snappy little combat encounter for players to take on. Oftentimes, these encounters go beyond just mindlessly killing a wave of enemies for a regular Chest – events with the potential for Mastery rewards can spawn in these semi-randomized environments, as well as Treasure Goblins and other unique encounters. Some even claim that The Butcher can be found lurking in Cellars.

There are a total of 31 Cellars in the Kehjistan map, and the best way to go about finishing them all is to start from the northern entrance that leads to the Dry Steppes. Head south, making small detours until you reach Gea Kul, then head into the center of the map to find a few more there. Head northeast towards the desert to finish up the remaining far-spread Cellars in Kehjistan.

World Boss Arena Location in Kehjistan

Every Diablo 4 zone is home to a unique World Boss arena, where one of three World Bosses can spawn on a regular schedule. By killing each World Boss one time each week, players can earn a cache with a heightened chance to drop Unique, Legendary, and cosmetic items. Ashava the Pestilent, Avarice the Gold-Cursed, and Wandering Death come around about once every six to seven hours in real-time.

The World Boss location in Kehjistan is a little bit out of the way, very, very far from the main port of Gea Kul. It's a good idea to head to the middle of the Scouring Sands in eastern Kehjistan to find Tarsarak, a small settlement with a Waypoint. The Seared Basin is found practically a direct ride north from Tarsarak, and a little bit to the northeast from Alcarnus.

Unique Bosses In Kehjistan Map

There are four elites that roam each of the five explorable areas of Sanctuary that make up Diablo 4's Estuar. These elites sometimes have unique voice lines, and will drop a special item upon defeat that comes with the same modifiers and a brief description one might see on a Unique. These items are only Rare, though, and don't come with an Aspect like Legendaries do – though they serve as excellent Imprinting bases.

The four unique, named elites in Kehjistan are Abe-Mari west of the Altar of Ruin, Nine-Eyes in the Ragged Coastline, Faraya Tehi southwest of Alcarnus, and Qiniel to the southwest of Omath's Redoubt.

All Side Quests in the Kehjistan D4 Map

Diablo-4-All-Side-Quests-Map-04

Side quests are stories that players can take part in either during or after the completion of the main campaign. Some side quests are locked behind pre-requisite completion of other objectives, such as a Stronghold, or aren't available until higher difficulties are unlocked at World Tier 3 and 4.

It's best to save the side quests on the Kehjistan Diablo 4 map until after the campaign because then players will have a mount and monsters will scale properly to their level, if they should go over Level 50. Plus, they will be a familiar feature in the Season 1 Renown grind, which can be accessed faster by skipping the campaign.

RELATED: Diablo 4: All Side Quests in Kehjistan (& Which Require a Stronghold)

In total, there are 44 side quests in Kehjistan, and the majority of them can be found along the western coastline on the roads between the sea and Ked Bardu. Of course, there are lots of others that can only be found out in other areas of the full Kehjistan map, but in the interest of time, it's best to start from the northwest point of the zone and work your way counter-clockwise.

Diablo 4 is available for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S
