Diablo 4 features a lengthy campaign with dozens of side quests to help players level up their characters once the main story is done. Some of these optional quests will not be available until reaching certain points in the campaign, such as The Swamp's Protection side quest. This Diablo 4 quest is fairly easy to complete to earn XP, though it will have players trekking around a swamp full of enemies. This guide will show players how to unlock and complete the quest.
Obtaining The Swamp's Protection Quest
The Swamp's Protection side quest is actually not available from the start. Players will have to play the game's campaign until they reach Act 4. There is a small questline at the beginning of the act where players are briefly introduced to Timue. Once the series of missions involving Timue are done, then the side quest will become available.
Players can then visit Timue's Hovel to get the quest, which is located in the Blightmarsh zone of the Hawezar region. Players can get there easily by using the Ruins of Rakhat Keep: Inner Court waypoint and traveling southeast to the blue exclamation point marked on the map.
Quest Walkthrough
The side quest involves players giving medicine to three nearby people around the swamp. Talking to Timue will activate the quest, and players will have to open up the chest behind her to get the supplies. The map will have a blue circle indicating each of the people to deliver to, and each of the circles are not exactly wide enough to get lost in. The map above shows each of the three locations.
The first person to deliver to is Baridan, who is located west of the house. TThe next person is Duraya, who will be west of Baridan. The final person is Raldin, who is northeast of Duraya's position, but does not appear until the wave of bandits has been defeated in the area.
Talking to Raldin will send players to a nearby bandit camp located in the Forsaken Coast area that is northeast. Players should have a mount equipped by now to make the trip to the camp faster and easier to avoid the random mobs of enemies. Eliminating all the bandits at the camp is the final objective of The Swamp's Protection side quest, and players can return to Timue to receive the rewards of a good bit of XP, some resources, and gold.
