The Keeping the Old Traditions side quest can be found in the Untamed Scarps area within the Dry Steppes zone. It is labeled on the map above with a black circle, and is southwest of Kyovashad and south of the City of Guulrahn.

It is somewhat out of reach from nearby waypoints, but players should have the Nevesk waypoint already unlocked, and would be the closest point of interest to start from. It would be easier to begin at that waypoint and travel west into the circular Untamed Scarps area, especially with a mount equipped.

The quest marker will appear with a blue exclamation point on the map once players have entered and revealed the area. Once revealed, players can set a pin to the location on the map screen and follow a path directly to it.

Players will have to interact with a book lying against some rubble that used to be housing. The book is named Lonely Offering and will ask the player to show an ancient statue that the traditions can be kept.

The quest is easy and short to complete but can be a bit tricky if players do not realize what the statue wants. A blue circle will appear on the map nearby after interacting with the book, and players just simply have to walk north and west to the statue built into the mountainside.

While standing in front of the statue, players will have to emote Yes to appease the statue and complete the quest. Emoting requires players to bring up the emote wheel with Up on the D-pad or E on keyboard and select Yes from the wheel.

The Yes emote may not be initially equipped, but players can do so manually by selecting Customize. The emote can then be slotted into one of the three emote wheels.

After emoting Yes to the statue, a hidden chest will appear nearby with random loot for the player. The side quest will be complete and players will also receive XP for finishing it.

Diablo 4 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
