Many of Diablo 4's dungeons are great sources for both XP and loot, and some of them are worth farming repeatedly. That said, the time that it takes for a dungeon to naturally reset slows down farming considerably, and some players may wonder if they can get around that reset timer. Fortunately for those fans, it is possible to instantly reset dungeons in Diablo 4, and this guide details a technique that solo players can use.

To note, players will need to have access to Diablo 4's Nightmare Dungeons in order to use this reset method. For the uninitiated, those dungeons become available upon reaching World Tier 3, and they are activated with Nightmare Sigils. If a fan has not yet started obtaining those Sigils from endgame activities, they should continue progressing and return to this guide when they are ready.

Update June 15: While this guide covers standard dungeon resets, it is also possible for solo players to instantly reset Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4. Fans can find information on how that is done by clicking on the link.

Diablo 4: How to Instantly Reset Dungeons Solo

Solo players that would like to instantly reset dungeons in Diablo 4 need to a do a bit of preparatory work first. More specifically, fans need to complete the first objective in a Nightmare Dungeon and then leave that dungeon. Notably, while it is true that some Nightmare Dungeons are better than others for completing this task, as they have shorter first objectives, all of them should be suitable.

Once the first objective in a Nightmare Dungeon has been addressed, players should make their way to the standard dungeon that they would like to farm and either partially or fully complete it. Players should then select the Leave Dungeon option from the emote wheel to get kicked to Diablo 4's overworld map, and they can then immediately reenter the dungeon. Indeed, fans will find that the map has already full reset, and they can clear it as many times as they would like.

With respect to which dungeon solo players should target with this strategy, Diablo 4's Ruins of Eridu is currently considered to be the best XP and loot farm. This dungeon's high mob density and number of Elites makes it a great candidate for farming, and fans can find it in the Hawezar region. It is likely that spawn rates will be adjusted in the Ruins of Eridu, though, and it would not be too surprising to see it fall from its top spot soon.

On the topic of adjustments, developer Blizzard will almost certainly adjust the solo dungeon reset method detailed in this guide. As such, players that want to use it should do so now, lest they miss out on the opportunity.

Diablo 4 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
