Copious stacks of Gold are surprisingly hard to come by in Diablo 4. Not only does this currency come in smaller piles compared to previous games, but they're also used more frequently and are often spent in large sums.
Buying vendor items, re-rolling affixes, upgrading weapons, and even resetting skill trees cost large amounts of Gold in Diablo 4, especially in the late game. It becomes a bigger problem for players who want to experiment with different builds for their favorite classes. Thankfully, there's one particularly good way to earn Gold.
Diablo 4: Best Gold Farming Spot
Uldur's Cave in Kehjistan is a favorite among community members for its generous Gold and item drops. The map layout is usually straightforward, and both objectives involve simply killing all monsters that are in the way, often showering players with money and loot in the process. It is closest to the Iron Wolves Encampment Waypoint.
On a level 73 character on Torment difficulty, an Uldur's Cave run drops around 300k Gold in drops as well as nearly 400k worth of Gold in sellable items. Net earnings from dungeon runs will vary based on different factors such as player level, difficulty, and general luck when it comes to item drops.
The Forsaken Quarry dungeon directly north of Kyovashad is another fan-favorite Gold farm. Gold gains from each run also average at approximately 700k, but Forsaken Quarry is much harder compared to Uldur's Cave because of the large number of Ice Clan Khazra inside. Ice Clan Shamans and their ice ball turrets can easily freeze players and lead them to their untimely deaths.
Both maps feature tight corridors that are perfect for Whirlwind Barbarian and Ice Barrage Sorcerer builds. However, Uldur's Cave tends to have more monster spawns on average, and its objectives only require players to destroy barricades and slay all enemies in the second half of the dungeon. It is much faster and less of a hassle to clear than Forsaken Quarry, provided that players have enough Poison Resistance.
To make these dungeons even more profitable, players should search for or craft Nightmare Sigils for Uldur's Cave or Forsaken Quarry. There's no way to craft sigils for specific dungeons, so players will have to be lucky with their drops or crafting outcomes when visiting town Occultists.
Nightmare Sigils sometimes have increased Gold or Magic Find modifiers. Running dungeons with such modifiers is always worth it, regardless of where they might be, as long as players can comfortably clear them without dying.
