Blizzard Entertainment has finally opened the gates back to Sanctuary once more, with Diablo 4 now bringing the threat of Lilith to the lands of humans. Fighting back against the overwhelming hordes of evil can be a tough ask, especially for those that are not prepared to do the impossible and keep themselves alive at the same time.

Thankfully, players will not be defenseless, especially when there are five classes that each bring their own signature tricks and moves to beat back evil. While having magical spells or brute strength will always come in handy, the key to being the last one standing is to be in good health, and that is where potions come into play. For players looking to increase their potion capacity and healing efficiency in Diablo 4, here's all the important info to learn before the journey begins.

How to Carry More Potions in Diablo 4

The more potions players have access to, the more times they can heal in the face of danger. That is simply a foundation of the Diablo experience, no matter how high-level one may be. However, it is vital to remember that players are no longer able to hoard potions to prepare for a tough fight, and there is a limited supply to use, at least at the very start of the game.

Players will start with a maximum of four healing potions, which can be replenished by picking up drops from slain enemies or chests. The only way to increase this capacity is by enjoying everything Diablo 4 has to offer and, more importantly, by earning Renown.

Throughout the five regions found in the game, players can complete different activities to earn Renown. Finding Altars of Lilith is one way, while clearing dungeons is always worth a healthy sum of the currency.

And when 300 Renown is earned, players can redeem the second Region Progress reward, which grants +1 Potion Capacity, along with Bonus XP and Gold. This applies to all the regions, allowing players to hit a high of nine potions to use by the end.

How to Improve Healing Efficiency in Diablo 4

Even with that many potions, endgame players require much more healing compared to early starters, especially as enemy damage is higher and there are higher health pools. To keep up with things, it is important to visit the Herbalist in towns that have them every once in a while.

They allow players to exchange resources found in the wild, such as Gallowvine and Biteberry, to further enhance healing potions. This is possible at levels 10, 15, 20, and so on. While resources are always readily available out in the world, it is hitting the higher level requirements that will be the biggest challenge awaiting players.

Once done, potions will become more useful than ever before, allowing all classes to fight longer and harder in order to end the horrors that now besiege Sanctuary.

Diablo 4 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
