Survivability and resource management are problems that every class in Diablo 4 has to address eventually. There are a ton of ways to solve both, and once players do, they'll often find themselves with more health or primary resource than they'll know what to do with.

The Melted Heart of Selig is a Unique item that can keep a character's health and resource pools topped off while providing a host of strong neutral stats. It might make the resource management side of things a little bit more complicated, but players who are well into Diablo 4's endgame should have no trouble using it to its full potential. Here are some tips on how to get it.

How to Get the Melted Heart of Selig

This amulet is one of the six ultra-rare Uniques in Diablo 4, sitting next to the likes of the Grandfather and Harlequin Crest. It has a minuscule chance of randomly dropping from any loot source on Torment difficulty, though it will only appear on the drop table once a character reaches level 85.

Farming Nightmare Dungeons is arguably the most efficient way to farm for any Unique item. Not only do they grant the most XP per kill, but they also have an increased chance of dropping Sacred or Ancestral versions of items. Completion rewards also give a guaranteed legendary item, which has a small chance of being a Unique item.

Rings and amulets have a flat chance of dropping from all enemy types. As of Patch 1.0.3, there are no enemies in Sanctuary that have an increased chance of dropping jewelry. At the very least, this means that players can farm for any other rare Unique item without risking missing out on getting the Melted Heart of Selig.

Unique items can drop from the Tortured Gift Chests that appear during Helltides. This somewhat makes up for the lack of target-farmable amulet sources, as some Helltide chests have guaranteed amulet drops. Players should always aim to open the Tortured Gifts of Mysteries chest in a region before hunting down the other Helltide chests to maximize farming efficiency.

The Melted Heart of Selig grants an extra 30% max resource to its wearer. However, whenever players take damage, they will instead lose 3-8 resource for every 1% Life that they would have otherwise lost. This amulet essentially turns the resource orb into a second bar—it can potentially make resource management a pain but builds that generate excess amounts of a primary resource should have no trouble making this work.

This Unique amulet works especially well with builds that scale off maximum resource like HotA Barbarian and Bone Spear Necromancer.

Diablo 4 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
