Rogues in Diablo 4 have a number of elemental imbuements to choose from when making their builds, and each of their three options all have something different to offer. Ice Imbuement in particular is capable of both impressive Crowd Control and damage against all targets.

Players can build around all the Ice and Frost-related effects the Rogue class has in its arsenal to get a functional Diablo 4 endgame build that can slow, freeze, and ultimately unalive everything they come across, even in high-tier Nightmare Dungeons. Here's one setup to get players started.

Blizzard implemented Patch 1.0.3. to Diablo 4 on June 27, 2023, fixing bugs and making slight gameplay adjustments. However, it's worth noting that our endgame Rogue Frost build guide remains relevant.

The build relies on Aspects that affect Chilled targets to increase the player's Vulnerable and Critical Strike Damage against them. Rapid Fire with Ice Imbuement will be the primary offensive source of this, though Caltrops can do just the same.

Disciplined Dash serves as both a Crowd Control and mobility skill in this build. Players will be able to inflict Slow and Daze with this skill alone, and their application will only be more consistent when paired with Caltrops.

For the last slot, players can pick between Rain of Arrows and Shadow Clone. The latter provides Unstoppable and better single-target damage, while the former offers better AOE clearing.

The majority of the passives for this build involve boosting damage against Crowd-Controlled enemies. This includes targets that are Slowed, Chilled, Frozen, Stunned, and Dazed.

Rapid Gambits reduce the cooldown of Evade whenever players Daze targets, which should activate every time players use Dash against Slowed targets. Hit enemies with Rapid Fire to knock them down with the Trick Attacks passive and gain increased crit chance with Concussive.

Preparation is the most ideal Specialization here since the build relies on Ultimates for horde clear. As for Key Passives, Precision is the way to go.

Frostbitten and Explosive Verve work together to give Caltrops the chance to instantly freeze enemies, enabling a suite of passives against Frozen and Crowd-Controlled targets.

Aspect of Repeating should be on the player's Crossbow to alleviate Rapid Fire's weakness against crowds. Pair this with Accelerating Aspect to gain faster attacks and Edgemaster for harder-hitting arrows.

Shadowslicer allows Dash to Daze on a single cast, saving players a Caltrops charge. Meanwhile, the Snap Frozen Aspect gives players a Barrier every time they Evade through Chilled or Frozen enemies. This also lets players enjoy the benefits of the Conceited Aspect as long as their Barrier is up.

Paragon BoardsDiablo 4's Rogue Rapid Fire skill

The board setup here is similar to most other Rogue builds. Put the Combat Glyph on the starting board to help with Energy management, then take Cunning Stratagem for its Core Skill bonuses and socket for the Exploit Glyph.

Cheap Shot is the best Legendary node for this build since it interacts directly with Crowd-Controlled enemies. Players who are fine with not having Exploit early can take this board instead of Cunning Stratagem first.

Diablo 4 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
