The Druid class made its first appearance in the Diablo series back during the expansion for Diablo 2. After a long absence, Druid has finally returned in Diablo 4. As one would expect from the class, Druid involves a lot of shape-shifting into other forms and decimating hordes of enemies. Diablo 4 players also have the option to use spells while still in human form as well that are just as deadly as any shape-shifting skill.

As players level up a Druid, it is important to think ahead of time about what skills and passives will be acquired. Having synergy is important, especially if players want an effective and efficient leveling build as they gradually work their way through the story and toward the Capstone Dungeon that begins endgame. Here are some of the best early game Druid leveling builds in Diablo 4.

Our Early Game Druid Leveling Build guide for Diablo 4 is still accurate, even with the changes made with the 1.0.3 patch released on June 27, 2023.

Pulverize Build

One effective leveling build that players can pursue early on is this build that focuses on the Pulverize skill and increasing damage done as a Werebear. In addition, this build also decreases how much damage players take while they are in Werebear form. Not only that, but this build helps improve critical strike chance against nearby enemies. Since boss fights can be hectic, this build also includes defensive abilities and means of quickly restoring health. In order to get the most out of this build, it is recommended to max out the Pulverize skill rather than leaving it at one point. The build is as follows.

  • Storm Strike (1/5)
  • Enhanced Storm Strike
  • Fierce Storm Strike
